Red, White, & Blue
Here's a little (belated) 4th of July post. We had fabulous fun at the town parade. Spencer and cousin Maddie were festive pals, sharing the candy they collected on the sidelines. Later, it was off to the local fireworks. We braved the rain and were rewarded with a spectacular fireworks show - Emma's first! Both our kids - two and new - loved the fireworks and being outdoors. Emma was sporting a darling outfit given her by Aunt Susan (thanks!) that was just right for the day.

Hooray! :)
If you don't mind, I'm going to "blink" (blog link?) your site on our site.
Sounds like a perfect fourth of July! Emma is so beautiful!!! And Spencer, just as handsome as we remember! (only bigger! wow.)
Thanks for sharing the news of your blog with us! (we're such fans of blogging - what a great way of staying in touch!)
Your little kiddos are adorable. We can't wait to see them in person!:) Hope to see you soon.
Thanks, Lori! We'd love to be "blinked" on your site. I have been secretly perusing your site daily and have found myself laughing, occasionally comiserating, and thoroughly enjoying the commentary on life with a two-year-old. Lucy is absolutely adorable. What a wonderful family you guys have! We're coming out to UT in August and would love to get together!
Katie!!! We're still planning to make a NY trip...just have to nail down the date. :0)
I love that those parades teach kids that candy on the ground is meant for them. Cute picture!
Ah, a lesson well learned...and unfortunately reinforced at home since Spencer's gummy vitamin fell on the floor today and he asked, "It's dirty?" "No," I replied, not wanting to retrieve antoher, "I just washed the floor yesterday." And I did..or at least I wiped the dinner spills up with a rag. What doesn't kill you...right?
I have never missed my nephew more than after reading that comment on him asking if the gummy vitamin was dirty. Ahhhhh.
Emma, what stunning eyes you have!
Grammy
Thanks, Grammy! And Uncle D, your niece and nephew miss you too!!!!
