On our first full day in California at the family cabin near Chester, we drove up to Lassen National Park. We decided on the Boiling Springs "hike" (yes, Katy, even this one probably doesn't qualify) in the Drakesbad area (isn't that a cool name?). As we hiked we soon found ourselves crossing some mountain streams and even a couple hot springs. Spencer wasn't sure what to make of this smelly, hot water. =)
* this is the first of a series of posts to help us remember the trip we just made to Utah and California. Also, I geotagged the pictures so if you click on the picture and then click on the (map) link on the bottom right you can see where the pictures were taken.

I can't wait to see the rest of your posts of your vacation. It sounds like you had a great time and I heard that you got to see Heather at Aspen Grove. We can't wait until we get to see you.
It was SO fun to see Heather at Aspen Grove. What a flashback. She looks so much like you, KT! She was wonderful enough to take a very tired 2-year-old Spencer under her wing for nursery.
Ah! Let the vacation saga begin! So glad we got to be a part of your travels! Cant' wait to see the other segments of the trip!
Lori - do you have any group photos from our get together? I'd love to see them!
And, I just have to say...aren't my two boys cute? They had the best time poking around with sticks and being outside. I love watching Spence with his Dad.
Hey Marie who is this Heather at aspen grove?
It's sounds like you had allot of fun.
love you!
